New America or New Iraq?
Hey guys, the one thing we try to do at OP-ED central and Sidaras’ IMOunder500.com is keep our opinions under 500 words, we are going to break tradition or our own rule this time because we believe the subject is that important. The one thing we know about the United States is the element of revolution is definitely in place and anyone who begs to differ has most likely been freeze dried or doing hard time. With street violence, and protests running rampant, just coming out of a COVID-19 pandemic of biblical proportions. No respect for anyone who is in authority, no respect from anyone without authority. After working in my yard for the day blowing grass and trimming weeds, showered to get the excess grass of my legs and arms, my closet was filled with different t-shirts. The go to shirt automatically picked had an American flag on it, not even thinking, grabbed it. Then BOOM it hit, is anyone going to be offended by my wearing a t-shirt with an American flag on it? Will someone be “offended” to see this once gleaming tower of hope for immigrants near and far on my shoulders? Now, that being said, I am NOT a Trump person, never have been, never will be, OK, just wanted to clear the air on that, because some of the things in this IMOPed is going to sound conservative, but thinking some of my west coast Hollywood type brothers and sisters should hear this. Once there was a time when it was cool, or patriotic to wear something that promoted the United States on it. Now it makes one wonder even how long the 4th of July will continue to be celebrated? Eventually ‘Ole glory will go down like the Confederate Flag, and be, in many opinions, symbols for oppression, slavery and racism, that day is coming very soon, and is already waiting outside our door, so sad to say. It’s very sobering to know the flag, which has been the symbol of freedom all over the world for over 200 years has been pummeled down to just a flag that just happens to get burnt on occasion by Antifa and other anti-social groups. Now, they are considering defunding law enforcement agencies, and in some cases doing away with entirely in certain areas? What exactly are we looking at here, the old west where everyone carries a firearm? Because, here’s the skinny of this my friends, bottom line- If we have no law enforcement, the life we know will cease to exist. Does this need to be repeated or did the skewed italic font get your attention?

Then, we can drive as fast as we want?- We can run stop signs?-We can walk over to our female neighbor lying out by the pool and harrass her, or maybe even more? We can just walk up and murder the guy down the street who pulls out in front of us every morning going to work?-At least The Purge only lasted 24 hours, Someone please explain this to us, this type dialogue is beginning to worry many people in our country. Officers have a stressful job and all aren’t perfect, the normal police officer witnesses some very horrific situations on any given day, that being said, usually the bad ones get weeded out, eventually. It takes unfortunate incidents such as the George Floyd tragedy to bring these issues to light. IMO the problem is, we are micro-managing law enforcement to the point the educated ones are too smart to become one, therein lies the racist grid that is chosen to do the job. That’s what happens when you have to settle for what you can get. When I was asked to write this particular IMO piece, my thoughts went to the old days when it would be about the President or whom he was insulting this week, but this one is personal. So…. this new trendy Chaz nation going on in Seattle is getting much air play, and will for a bit, the basement generation has come out of hiding, bringing much of the basement with them. Some may even say the United States equivalency of the kids putting up a sheet tent around the couch in the living room.

The new revolutionary “Nation of Chaz”.
The many issues facing this new start up “revolutionary nation” will only be food, electricity, housing, water, schools, daycare, healthcare, transportation, infrastructure, and that’s just basic. Let’s not forget, cigarettes and or vapes. But for a new nation just getting started, there is always the little needs, and wants. Now, let’s say they find a way to manage these basic necessities , maybe even a leader of substance will emerge. He or she decides to expand into California and even Nevada. They have somehow managed to keep Trump from invading them by threatening and tearing down more statues. A new threat comes along. Probably one never given much thought, another country, or foreign terrorist such as ISIS, even domestic threats such as outlaw biker gangs, drug cartels, local Girl Scout Troop #0365, just to name a few, decide they want your small area of land. Well, you don’t really have anyone in the group who owns a gun much less carries one. Oh, you have a few gate watchers with AR-15’s that you, by the way want to take away from everyone else. Now all of a sudden sh*t is getting real huh? Because, these factions just come in and take it, and kill everyone in the process, why do you think we were in Iraq, this is what happens when countries begin to collapse, like roadkill to buzzards and guess what, they have already begun to circle as we are typing this, Antifa just cleared the spot. My suggestion, bring all the statues torn down and put them at your borders for shield against gunfire and land-to-air missiles, also, it will give the impression of more fighters, and that some favor Robert E. Lee and ride horses. These new threats will not understand political correctness. So my question to you. Is this really something you are ready for? If so, My hat is tipped to you, but if you are hosting a revolution anywhere, always remember the very last line to The Who classic anthem “Won’t Get Fooled Again”. So very true.
